Half the Man, Twice the Faith is an inspiring biography beautifully written by Cindy Woods, a “collector of stories.” In her debut book, Woods cleverly crafts the true story of Rick Salewske’s struggles with morbid obesity and his fight to overcome isolation, depression, and a myriad of issues that stem from his addiction to food.
Just as God would have it, over and over again the right people enter Rick’s life to help him overcome great odds to lose an astonishing 300 pounds. Woods pens his story in such a way that the reader feels as though they are right there with Rick, cheering him on to make the hurdles over seemingly insurmountable odds. As time goes on, Salewske realizes that God has been there during every moment of his struggles, always holding out His hand, waiting for Rick to take it, just as He does for every one of us!
